No problem, just borrow another right hand.
Everybody pitched in to help with the meal this year, and my mom made half of it. I (we) made the turkey, rolls, candied sweet potatoes, and a white chocolate pumpkin cheesecake. The turkey was the best ever; we brined it the day before, and it was fresh. Soooooooo moist.

Ava helped to place all the leaves!

This was what I saw when I peeked during prayer. So sweet.

Our thankful turkey. We added feathers all week with things we were thankful for written on them. Then we read them on Thanksgiving.

We had a very good dinner and loved reflecting on all we are thankful for. Our lives are richly blessed.

That looks great! I have never brined a turkey before, but I have wanted to try that. You may have inspired me. I also loved your idea of a thankful turkey. It looked like such a fun holiday.
So what exactly do you do to brine a turkey? Looks like it was yummy.
Nichelle, you soak it in a brine (salt water) for 24 hours prior to cooking. Then I always stuff mine with halved lemons and fresh rosemary, then rub an herbed butter under the skin and on top, then put fresh rosemary on top as well.
We are so Thankful to have such wonderful friends in our lives! You are such an inspiration to us.
Good thing that Nichelle asked as I was wondering about the brining process as well...looks super yummy! I will have to try that next time
