I have learned....

Things I have discovered I can do with my left hand sort of easily:
put on my make-up
get dressed
eat
read
play board games
pull the kids in the wagon
load the washer
take sheets off a bed
vacuum
take a bath
drive

Things I can do with my left hand, they are just harder and take longer:
type
mop the floor
clean the bathroom
do my hair
dress the baby
change diapers
comb Ava's hair
brush my teeth
brush Ava's teeth
sweep
clean the kitchen
do buttons on the girls clothes
buckle Corrine in her carseat
pick Corrine up off the floor without taking her arm out of its socket
spread things like butter
cut with scissors

Things I can not do with only one hand(how do people with one hand do these things?):
put sheets on a bed
cut
cook
fold clothes
tie shoes
do buttons on my own pants
wash the back of my hand
open pickle jars (and the like)
sew
rescue the puppy from the window well

There are, of course, more things for each list, but you get the idea. I will be so thankful when I have the use of both my hands; life will seem sooooo easy!

Gina, it's great to see you have not lost your sense of humor thru all of this. Bout fell out of out chair reading about the puppy rescue.

Wow- I'm very impressed that you can do so much with just your left hand! You're amazing!

It's amazing how much we take our appendages for granted. I know when I paper cut my finger and have to adjust for my contacts or make-up or whatever--it drives me crazy:) I'm impressed with what you are able to do. Definitely not a paper cut:)

Wow! even one handed you still do more than most (me!) you have been adapting very well!
